1. About Department - General Science & Engineering Department
BMIT is a center of excellence where we nurture the young talent in different streams of engineering. General Science & Engineering department has major emphasis of imparting training to encourage curiosity and innovativeness among the students and lay a foundation to face challenges of fast changing needs of the industry. Our department plays a vital role in the teaching of Basic Sciences to engineering students.
Prof. Bhopale Ashwinkumar Anandrao HOD General Science
The purpose of Basic Science subjects in engineering study is to lay down a strong foundation of basic principles of various disciplines of Engineering. I am proud to possess a highly qualified and dedicated staff who are always striving to perceive and resolve students queries. The interaction between students and faculty greatly enriches the educational experience for all. Through this platform I would like to give message to students that, "Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside eu that is greater than any obstacle."
The department emphasizes on achieving excellence in teaching. The first year is a first exposure for the newly admitted students from junior colleges. The efforts are being taken to start classes well in advance even before admissions to get sufficient time for study to the students.
In order to have proper co-ordination between students and teachers, a novel scheme has been introduced where in teacher acts as guardian for students to help them to face challenges in front of them and their personal problems. In this process, parents are always informed about progress of the students through letters. For proper co-ordination between the parents, students and teachers, parents' meets are arranged.
